Journaling is my best kept practice in fostering a deeper connection with myself. Whether that’s starting each morning with gratitudes, intentions and affirmations, to exploring growth patterns in self reflection or manifesting aspirations with a pen and a few blank pages. I’ve adapted these practices in COVID, leaning into my journal(s) as a safe space to process all my thoughts and emotions prompted by the ups and downs of this year.
Prioritizing these self check-ins has been a life saver for mental health but I am eager to refocus my attention (and intentions) towards my 2020 goals. I find starting in gratitude and vulnerability is the best expression to explore self-realization.
I hope these journal prompts inspire your connection with yourself and your unique journey growing into your best you!
Much love, Alana

Every piece of my journey thus far; the hardships and triumphs, each love and each loss, the growth and life lessons, have led me to my present self.
Which moments in my unique life story have been most defining in guiding me to who I am today?
In what ways have I shown up in love for myself that I am most proud of?
To look outward towards my future, in refocusing my intentions for growth and self alignment, I will go inward to explore my present truths.
What makes me feel most fulfilled and/or aligned?
What can I let go of that is no longer serving me?
In what ways can I prioritize time for self love and connection?
New beginnings are possible given you decided when and where to start.
When I picture my highest and best self, what do I see? How do I feel? What am I doing differently?
How can I make intentional steps towards my best self today? This month? The rest of the year?

About the Journals: The Five-Minute Journal Starting and ending each day with this journal sets the tone for the day and increase habits of gratitude, intention and overall presence. Plus there’s a bonus thought-provoking quote or challenge at the top of each page! Karst Hardcover Notebook This brand is a top recommendation because their notebooks are chic and sustainable, with waterproof pages made from stone!! LEUCHTTURM1971 Bullet Journal The original Bullet Journal introduced my love for dotted grid pages, particularly for mapping out and tracking my goals and aspirations. The dots support creativity to flow while encouraging freeform organization. I spent hours on the Bullet Journal blog drawing inspiration by admiring others’ examples on how they best formatted their journals. Archer & Olive Crescent Moon Notebook I love the blank pages of this notebook because they allow complete freedom in sharing my heart & soul out in its pages.
